Belize Cruise Ship Shore Excursions - Caving

Travel through Amish territory on our way to Barton Creek Cave, which we will explore by kayak/canoe (each kayak holds 2 people). No prior kayaking or canoeing experience is needed for this relaxing trip. Equipped with high-powered lights, we will gently paddle into Xibalba (she-bal-ba), Maya for underworld. The Barton Creek Cave holds stalactites, stalagmites, calcite crystals and some Mayan artifacts. Your guide will explain the use of this cave by the ancient Maya. For the free spirited adventurer, the option for excellent swimming in the far chamber is a treat. Great mud baths to cleanse your skin is an added option.
